Top Malbec World Day Food Pairings

Top Malbec World Day Food Pairings

We love any opportunity for opening a bottle of Beeftseak Club Malbec, but celebrating Malbec World Day is pretty much as good as it gets in terms of excuses. To mark the occasion, we’re sharing our top five dishes to pair with a silky smooth glass of Beefsteak Club Malbec

1- Churrasco Steak

This classic Argentinian recipe uses the long flat cut of skirt steak, marinated to make it tender and full of flavour and typically served topped with aromatic Chimichurri sauce. The fresh ripe fruit notes and rounded tannins of Beefsteak Club Malbec perfectly complement the rich flavours of this tender meat. Check out how to prepare your own flavoursome churrasco steak here.

2- Steak Tacos

Tender strips of steak, ripe creamy avocados and refreshing pico de gallo, layered on top of soft corn tortillas. This is a dish that is both rich and incredibly fresh. Best enjoyed outdoors in the summer with a glass of Malbec that has been slightly chilled. Try this delicous recipe for steak tacos with jalapenos and lime, delicious !

3- BBQ Beef Brisket

Brisket marinated in barbeque sauce and grilled until tender and falling apart, this is the ultimate dish for BBQ lovers. Not to mention it is seriously delicious when paired with the silky tannins and black fruit notes of the more robust Beefsteak Club Reserve Malbec.

4- Bresaola

Bresaola is an air-dried, salted and aged beef. The meat develops concentrated savoury flavours and a sweet nuttiness with age, which is heavenly with the ripe berry and plum flavours of Beefsteak Club Malbec that improve rather than mask the complex umami flavours of Bresaola. Have a go at making your own bresaola here.

5- Aged Cheddar Cheese Burger

Take your classic cheeseburger to the next level with some aged cheddar cheese. Aged cheddar pairs deliciously with the silk tannins of our Beefsteak Club range, the red fruit character provides the perfect tang for the melted cheddar cheese. Try this revamped burger with the full-bodied Beefsteak Club Estate-Bottled Malbec, which will bring out the best of the meat flavours without overpowering.

Pull the cork and enjoy!
